Letter to the Editor: Harbor Hoops Win Presidents Day Tourney

President of Harbor Hoops, Dan Olson, writes to Gig Harbor Patch about their sixth and seventh-grade teams winning the championship games for the first time.

To whom it may concern:

What a weekend for basketball in Gig Harbor, on the heals of Gig Harbor High School basketball making the state tournament......

For the first time in it's history, Harbor Hoops doubled down and won 2 tournament championships in the same tournament. The 6th and 7th grade Harbor Hoops boys teams took the championships in the annual Presidents Day tournament in University Place. It was a great accomplishment for both teams. With a packed house at the Impact Sports Center in University Place, Harbor Hoops forged huge wins over the Bellarmine Elite team, the University Place Curtis Elite team and several other strong programs. Both teams went 4-0 for the weekend.
