While every golfer dreams of scoring a hole-in-one sometime in his or her lifetime, Derek Mills accomplished the feat for the second time in his life.
The 38-year-old from Port Orchard recently sank a hole-in-one at ’s 25th annual
Mills said he used a pitching wedge to drive the ball on the par-3, 140-yard No. 17 hole at Gig Harbor’s .
“The ball fell straight in the hole,” he said. “I threw my club, and we celebrated with three rounds of high fives.”
The avid golfer, who made his last hole-in-one 10 years ago, said he plays at Canterwood about once a year.
Mills also made two more eagles to help his team finish first place at the best-ball tournament with a score of 54.
