Registration for Turkey Trot Ends This Friday

The annual Gig Harbor Turkey Trot is back to help raise food and supplies for FISH Food Bank.

Justify that third helping this Thanksgiving by starting your day at the Gig Harbor Turkey Trot 5K/10K to benefit FISH Food Bank on Thursday, Nov. 24, 2011 at 8 a.m.

Online registration for the run is $15 plus two cans of food by Friday Nov. 18. 

T-shirts are not included in the registration cost but are available for purchase. Late registration is $30.

The event is sponsored by , Gig Harbor North Rotary, and . The Gig Harbor Turkey Trot raises money and food items for the , an all volunteer organization that helps families around the peninsula region. 

Participants can pick up their race number on Wednesday, Nov. 23, noon – 6 p.m. at St. Anthony Hospital and Route 16 Running.

The route begins at and goes out Harborview, Vernhardson and then right along the East side of Gig Harbor.

Volunteers are also needed. If you are interested in helping, sponsoring or have additional questions contact Holmes Chiropractic at 253-858-5152.
