The girls water polo team capped it's third consecutive championship season Saturday night with a victory over Curtis to win the state title.
Julia Ponce led the team with 3 goals as the Tides took a 5-3 lead into halftime. Gig Harbor widened the margin to 8-4 after 3 quarters on goals from Shae Purdue, Sarah Campbell and Chanel Long.
The team finished their season with a record of 22-1.
The Tides' captain, Sarah Campbell credited solid team defense for the win.
