Kopachuck State Park is located in the western Gig Harbor peninsula. The name "Kopachuck" came from the Pacific CoastalMore Indians. "Kopa" means "at" and "chuck" means water. The park spreads across 109 acres of land, and its gravel shoreline spans for 5,600 feet. The park offers a view of Cutts Island from one part of the shore. The 2-mile trail is filled with plenty of luscious green plants and wildlife. Kopachuck State Park has 41 tent spaces and one ADA approved restroom for campers looking for peaceful escape from the city. Camping hours differs from the regular park hours. There is also a pay phone at the park.

Stitch-A-Roo Sewing School provides young girls, age 8 and up, with the opportunity to learn a variety of sewing skills.More Classes offered can include an Intro to the Sewing Machine, Butterfly Pillow class, Sewing Studio, Fashion Design Studio, Girl Scouts Sewing Studio and more; there is also a Date Night class for parents to provide their children with activities in a safe environment while they enjoy a night out at a local restaurant. Stitch-A-Roo is also available to host birthday parties for children between the ages of 8 and 14, including 2 to 3 hours of entertainment, sewing projects and party cupcakes. There is also a selection of sewing machines available for purchase.
