However, with an enrollment of about 120 students, the classrooms are smaller and allows teachers to work more closely with the students. The school also does not have any athletic programs. The students take the regular bus to either Peninsula High School or Gig Harbor High School in the morning. Once they get to the schools, another bus will take the students to Henderson Bay. The classes end at 1:50pm so the students have enough time to get back to the other high schools, which get out at 2pm.</p> <p>In 2010, the district named Dave Goodwin as Henderson Bay's principal. Goodwin graduated from Gig Harbor High School and spent the previous three years as assistant principal at Peninsula High School.</p>

An average class size is about 30 students in each classroom. With more than half of the students at the school participating in extracurricular activities, Peninsula High School has more than 20 different options for sports programs. The Peninsula Seahawks are proud to have won individual state championships in wrestling and track. It also has more than 20 organizations for students to join.
