Gig Harbor Boat Shop- Longboat & Thunderbird Programs for Youth and Adults this Summer

Gig Harbor, WA- The Gig Harbor Boat Shop will be introducing educational and
corporate teambuilding programs aboard the Longboat Porpoise this summer. Emphasis
will be placed on developing maritime skills, sailing, teamwork, and experiencing Gig
Harbor from the water. The traditional Longboat Porpoise will be used as a floating
classroom for teaching and experiencing life aboard a Longboat. The Gig Harbor Boat
Shop will be offering these programs on select weekdays and weekends from June thru
October of 2013.


The Gig Harbor Boat Shop will also be offering opportunities to learn the basics of
sailing and cruising aboard the historic Thunderbird #2, Pirouette. Dedicate your
Saturday to developing or enhancing your sailing skills and enjoy instruction from a
knowledgeable Captain and Crew. The basics of sailing, docking, anchoring, and living
aboard a sailboat will be covered during this session. Lunch will be provided and
instruction will be catered to your goals for the day.
