The bond covenants (bond market back East) do not yet allow refinancing. It's not like refinancingRead More your house. There is a minimum period in bonds for this kind of debt that must pass prior to refinancing. The State finance folks are neither stupid or derelict. The day they're eligible, they'll pursue the best lower rate available.

Everyone else is taking advantage of the low interest rates to get into a better financial position,Read More the state should do this as well. It should be their driving policy. Why pay more money when you do not have to? Also, why are we paying sales tax on a state funded project? Why would a state tax itself for work that it does for itself? That should be one of the benefits of having the state do the job as opposed to an outside source.

Robin, I understand what you meant. Nevertheless, you used "not greedy" andRead More "Walmart" in the same context. In my time, I confronted a Walmart siting issue in Gig Harbor. My perceptions differ from yours, but I agree Walmart's prices are good. I just won't be recommending that they get any gold cups for corporate morality.
