The Longest Night ~ A Service of Reflection
The Christmas Season can be a difficult time for some. Often the expectation is that we will be joyful and happy as Christmas approaches. Yet, if we have suffered a loss, are dealing with difficult circumstances, struggling with health concerns or perhaps the holidays are always a difficult time, it may feel like a monumental effort to put on a happy face.
The Longest Night service is a time to come together knowing it is fine to feel whatever we are feeling: grief, sadness, loneliness, a sense of emptiness...it is all welcome. We will share prayers, a brief reflection, and members of the choir will perform an evocative Kyrie.
This service is for those who are in search of a quieter, more reflective time; a chance for some centering and renewal in this busy season. The service is for the community - please invite anyone who might want to attend.
