Get Out: Holiday Dog Photo, Jordyn's Walk and Jordyn's 5k Challenge

Gig Harbor Patch is coming to the rescue. We’ve got the best bets for your done-work, outta-here time. Check our picks for the activities to hit and new bars/restaurants/shops to explore.

 

  • Where/When: 11 a.m. - 4 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 19 at .
  • Why Go: Capture your dog's holiday spirit for only $10 a photo. Tammy Murray, a local professional photographer, will be at Sophie's Touch pet store from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. to take a picture of your dog(s). All proceeds goes to Canine Health Education and Welfare's Dog Rescue program.
  • Cost: $10

 

  • Where/When: 8:30 a.m. - 2 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 19 at . 
  • Why Go: Come out to Peninsula High School this Saturday for Jordyn's Walk and Jordyn's 5k Challenge. The Gig Harbor Kiwanis will be hosting a Pancake Breakfast in the PHS commons at 8:30 a.m. Registration starts at 9 a.m. for the walk and the Jordyn's 5k Challenge.   • Pricing: $5 Registration fee for Walk - Pledge donations appreciated. All funds collected will be used to purchase a customized wheelchair and continued medical expenses for Jordyn.


  • Where/When: 10 a.m. - 5 p.m. on Friday and Saturday at .
  • Why Go: Enjoy traditional holiday cookies and pastries in honor of Gig Harbor's Scandinavian and Croatian heritage. Traditional holiday costumes will be on display, along with an abundance of holiday gifts, vintage-inspired toys, candies, and lots of stocking stuffers!
  • Pricing: Free.


  • Where/When: 7 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 19 at .
  • Why Go: Come out to Halftime this Saturday and enjoy live music from Rokkerbox while supporting a great cause. Rokkerbox will have a truck under a tent starting at 7 p.m. and are asking people to come and help fill it with food. All donations collected will be delivered to the Key Peninsula Community Center.
  • Pricing: No cover.


  • Where/When: 7 p.m. on Friday and Saturday at .
  • Why Go: The Gig Harbor High School's drama program presents "Harvey". The play is about a boy and his invisible rabbit friend, Harvey. To learn more about the play, click here. Enjoy the show!
  • Pricing: Students $6, adults $8. Tickets will be available at the door.
