Gig Harbor Celebrates Easter with Parade of Events

Two weekends of Easter celebrations end on a sunny note with the PenMet Parks Spring Easter Egg Hunt at Sehmel Homestead Park.

The Gig Harbor community went all out to celebrate Easter this year, with egg hunts and other events taking place downtown, uptown, even on the water over the past two weekends.

The Gig Harbor Uptown mall, and the Gig Harbor Canoe and Kayak Race Team were among those that held egg hunts this year. The holiday celebration culminated on Saturday, April 23, when hundreds of children and their parents turned out at for the the fourth annual .

The weather – warm and sunny – couldn't have been better. And the smiles couldn't have been brighter as kids scoured the park in search of eggs containing sweet, sugary surprises. They had their picture taken with the Easter Bunny, won toy prizes and played in bounce houses provided by Patterson's Fruit Stand.
