Ring, Ring, Ring!: The Trolleys Have Reached The South Sound
Pierce Transit's pilot trolley program begins July 9 in Gig Harbor.
Check out this picture that Pierce Transit posted on its Facebook page along with the following message:
"Trolleys arrived from North Carolina today. The PT Trolley demonstration project begins July 9th."
Pierce Transit announced last week that it would run a trolley pilot program from July 9 to Sept. 28 in Gig Harbor.
The service will offer trips every 30 minutes beginning at 11 a.m. to 7:30 p.m., Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Sundays, with extended service to 9:30 pm on Tuesdays, Fridays and Saturdays.
It will connect the historic Downtown Gig Harbor area to the Uptown shopping area.
