Ted Russell Kamp @ Morso

Singer/Songwriter Ted Russell Kamp brings his Outlaw Troubadour Music to Morso

Outlaw country star Ted Russell Kamp intertwines dixieland-meets-blues-meets-country with a strong influence of memphis R&B to bring his keen observations about life to his song writing style and stage performance.  Ted is playing at Morso as part of the Americana Music Series on Saturday March 5, 2011 at 8 pm.  Tickets are $25 and can be purchased at  http://www.brownpapertickets.com/event/156158.

Ted tours with Shooter Jennings (son of Waylon Jennings and Jessie Colter) and is taking some time off touring with Shooter to release his new CD and is out promoting it. His new CD Get Back To The Land was released in Europe and went to # 1 in January. Get Back To The Land is a homage to guitar driven California Country and country-rock of Buck Owens and the Byrds as well as Ted's other influences of Southern fried Rock and Soul. Ted is well known for his work with great musicians and they they like to work with Ted.  On his latest CD, Ted’s special guests included Angelo Moore (Fishbone), Eric Heywood (Son Volt, Ray LaMontagne), Tony Gilkyson (Lone Justice, X) and Robby Turner (Waylon Jennings and the Highwaymen).

In a lot of ways, you might think of Kamp as a Bob Seger cut with Ronnie Wood, adding a side of Memphis, a touch of Billy Squier, Steve Gibbons and some Ry Cooder.  This is your oppurtunity to meet Ted before his showcase in Austin Texas at the 2011 South By SouthWest  Music conference (SXSW 2011 March 16-20 Austin Texas). Find out more about Ted Russell Kamp  http://www.tedrussellkamp.com/
