Movies for CinemaGig Outdoors 2012

The City of Gig Harbor has announced the lineup for this year’s CinemaGig Outdoors. The popular free outdoor movie series will begin on Friday, July 6, and run every other weekend through Aug. 18. All movies start at dusk. Friday “Classic” movies are held at , and Saturday “Family” movies are held at . 

Once again this year, Family Weekend, Aug. 3 and 4, will be celebrated in conjunction with Harbor WildWatch with a focus on the local environment.

Monster Weekend

Friday, July 6: Approximate start time 9:15 p.m. at Donkey Creek Park--Ghostbusters

Saturday, July 7: Approximate start time 9:15 p.m. at Skansie Brothers Park--Monsters vs. Aliens

Love Weekend

Friday, July 20: Approximate start time 9 p.m. at Donkey Creek Park--West Side Story

Saturday, July 21: Approximate start time 9 p.m. at Skansie Brothers Park--Lady and the Tramp (Disney)

Environment—Family Weekend

Friday, Aug. 3: Approximate start time 8:30 p.m. at Donkey Creek Park--The Water Horse Legend of the Deep

Saturday, Aug. 4: approximate start time 8:30 p.m. at Skansie Brothers Park--Disney’s EARTH

Let’s Dance Weekend

Friday, Aug. 17: Approximate start time 8:15 p.m. at Donkey Creek Park--Footloose (Original)

Saturday, Aug. 18: Approximate start time 8:15 p.m. at Skansie Brothers Park--Happy Feet Two

Movies will be canceled in the case of rain or high wind. Bring a chair and or blanket.
