This Vessel Belonged To A Fish At Gig Harbor City Hall

Earlier this week, we asked you where we spotted a certain vessel in Gig Harbor.

We offered clues such as "City of Gig Harbor" and "public building."

There were plenty of great guesses. Some were close, others weren't.

So you probably want to know the answer, and we want to give it. We spotted this vessel in (drumroll please) ... the fish sculpture at Gig Harbor City Hall!

The vessel is one of handful of images that the artist actually included on the fish's exterior.

The sculpture was part of the community's SalmonChanted Harbor event, and it is positioned right at the entrance of the Gig Harbor Police Department.

One Patch user - Kelly Busey - got the right answer and shared it in the comments section:

"It is part of the salmon statue right beside the court office inside the Civic Center. The statue was donated from the "Salmonchanted Harbor" auction a few years ago. Now, where do I claim my prize?"

Congratulations, Kelly. I can't pinpoint it, but I have a feeling you walk past the fish on a regular basis. In either case, I have a Patch water bottle waiting for you. Great job!
