PAL's Juried Art Exhibition Available at Gig Harbor Civic Center

The annual exhibit, sponsored by the Peninsula Art League, will showcase 82 artworks from across the nation.

Peninsula Art League's 10th Annual Juried Art Exhibition opens today at the .

To kick off the show, the community is invited to an opening reception and awards ceremony on Thursday, Aug. 9, at 6 to 8 p.m. at the Civic Center.

The exhibit features 82 works of art from artists across the country. The artworks were selected by Rock Hushka, director of curatorial administration and curator of contemporary and Northwest art at Tacoma Art Museum.

Most of the artworks will be shown at the civic center, but several others will be displayed at For Art Sake gallery in the downtown waterfront district, according to the City of Gig Harbor.

All visitors are encouraged to vote for their favorite artwork to be selected in the People’s Choice award, which will be announced on Sept. 12.
