A bicyclist was taken to the hospital after being hit by a vehicle near Raft Island on Friday.
Gig Harbor Fire & Medic One responded to the incident, which occurred around 3 p.m.
According to the fire department, the driver of the car made a left turn in front of the bicyclist, causing the bicyclist to strike the car.
The bicyclist was transported to St. Joseph Hospital in Tacoma and was treated for minor injuries.
Traffic was disrupted while crews responded and cleared the accident, according to a Patch user.
