The beer is almost here! The inaugural Gig Harbor Beer Festival is Saturday, May 12 at the . Festival hours are 12 p.m. – 7 p.m. and event-goers must be 21+ years to attend.
This new beer-lovers festival, sponsored by , will feature local breweries from around the South Puget Sound area, including Gig Harbor's own 7 Seas Brewery, a recent new addition to the festival brewers list.

- Port Townsend Brewing Co.
- Silver City Brewery
- Sound Brewery

"We wanted as many actual brewers tipping the kegs themselves for this event -- and festival goers will not be disappointed," said event organizer John Fosberg. "Many of brewers we've spoken to specifically mentioned the loyal customers they have in Gig Harbor, so they are all very much looking forward to meeting the people that enjoy their brews. It's going to be a happy time."
Fosberg also said they will be giving their last two VIP tickets at the end of the month. To enter in the drawing, just 'Like' the festival's Facebook page.
Advanced tickets are $20 and are available online by visiting the Festival's website at http://www.gigharborbeerfestival.com, or at http://www.brownpapertickets.com. Your ticket admission includes a 2012 commemorative taster cup and eight taster tokens. Tickets are also available on the day of the event for $25. Additional taster tokens will be on sale during the day of the Festival.
