Winners for 'Deck the Windows' Contest

After a grueling judging process, the Gig Harbor Historic Waterfront Association has announced the winners for its inaugural "Deck the Windows" decorating contest.

Twenty-four waterfront businesses participated in the ’s first annual “ as a part of the yearly “Candlelight Christmas in the Harbor” event.

The “Deck the Windows” panel of judges, Mary DesMarais, Josh Sherwin and Linda James, said they were delighted to see "so many wonderfully decorated windows and enjoyed the spirit and enthusiasm shared by the participating businesses".

"It was very hard to select just four winners when so many obviously worked hard, showed team spirit, and creativity to create their entries," said Josh Sherwin, committee chair. "The panel of judges determined we had to award some honorable mentions in honor of their hard work."
