The Gig Harbor Chamber of Commerce recently reported Gig Harbors' average income at $83,763 with a national average of $53,615. In addition, 41.2% of Gig Harbor residents have a Bachelor degree and higher with the current national average at 28.5%.
Our national news media increasingly includes Gig Harbor on the various lists of best places in the country. What do they mean by best?
The criteria varies but most often includes available housing and jobs, surrounding natural beauty (rain or shine), extensie parks and outdoor recreation, quality health care, available goods and services including retail establishments & art galleries, schools, churces and, our favorite: friendly home-town citizens.
OK - we have a new bridge - some of us are delighted, others not so much. Since the new bridge opened, local goods and services and our medical community have improved and expanded.
