Maritime Pier Legacy Sculpture Wine Tasting & Silent Auction

The Maritime Pier Legacy Sculpture Committee, a subcommittee of the Greater Gig Harbor Foundation, urges you to:

Where:  Bella Kitchen and Home, Uptown Shopping Center

Tickets:  $25.00 per person (Available soon at Bella Kitchen and Home

Reason:  Fundraising for the Legacy Sculpture which is being created by Douglas Granum, Southworth, WA Artist & Sculptor, based upon a 1909 Photograph taken by Asahel Curtis, who recorded the Pacific Northwest timber, agriculture, fishing and mining industries.  The Legacy Sculpture, known as The Big Catch will be given to the City of Gig Harbor as a gift and installed at the new Maritime Pier Park.

Why:  To be a lasting tribute to the fishermen in Gig Harbor from the original Native American, the Europeans who arrived in the 1880s through the 20th century and into the 21st century as well as all those yet to follow in the fishing profession.
