Memorial Day Events Happening in Gig Harbor
To remember those who sacrificed their lives to protect this country, Gig Harbor will be hosting several events on Memorial Day, May 27.
11th Annual Memorial Day Breakfast at City Park
Boy Scout Troop 245 will be hosting its 11th Annual Memorial Day Breakfast at the City Park at Crescent Creek, 3303 Vernhardson St. The breakfast will take place from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. There will also be live music and a veteran guest speaker. This is Troop 245’s annual fundraiser to attend High Adventure and Boy Scout Camp. Cost is a donation of $7 per person or $30 per family.
Memorial Day Pancake Breakfast
The Fox Island Historical Society Museum is hosting its annual pancake breakfast at 1017 9th Ave. Fi. They will be serving breakfast from 8 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. After the breakfast, make sure to head to the Fox Island Cemetery for a Memorial Day service.
Memorial Day Service at Artondale Cemetery
The Artondale Cemetery Association will be hosting its annual Memorial Day service at 5512 Hunt St. NW. The ceremony will feature Herman Uddenberg Veterans of Foreign War Post 1854, Gig Harbor American Legion Post 236 and the Peninsula Veterans' Color and Honor Guard. The event starts at 10 a.m.
