Illegal Again

A few years ago the taxing authorities in the state tried to tax large yachts exclusively, figuring not much protest from the rest of us dingy owners.
Then someone realized the land yachts would not be taxed similarly and raised a fairness challenge, getting the entire tax package rescinded.
Now we have the state for all intent and purposes handing over the retail and wholesale liquor business to the private sector, and we've seen the expansion. Gig Harbor City Council's decision to employ a
moratorium on pot shops seems to be an attempt to pick and choose which field of intoxicants the citizens may have.  You can have liquor but not pot.  That again is an unfair and discriminatory revenue fine to one business but not the other.  To be fair the council should include liquor sales in any moratorium.
Better would be to realize they have no business fining one operation while allowing a similar business unfettered sales.
The city council has no business picking and choosing how the legal public decide to unwind.
