You probably already know, but the speed limit for most of Gig Harbor is 25 MPH with a few 35's thrown in for those roads that can handle it.
Anyway, the C.O.P.S. volunteers drag it on out there and help the drivers from out of town ( you already know, remember..? ), so that they can drive safely and enjoy the beauty of our great little city.

The posted speed limit along with your very own flashing current speed lets all drivers know how they are doing....oh, and it also gives a hint to the officer that might be waiting nearby to give a 'personal' reminder to anyone achieving a high number.
Unlike the permanent ones around town this can be located just about anywhere.

And, if you feel the need to drive a little faster....there's a four lane out there called HWY 16 where you can go 55 and sometimes 60 to your heart's content.
