On Oct. 28, medics responded to an elderly man who had fallen the previous evening. He had been on the floor for about 17 hours. His only complaint was a stiff, sore hip. Medics transported him to the hospital for evaluation because of the length of time that he had been on the floor.

On Oct. 28, firefighters responded to a kitchen fire. The resident said that he did not cook so he used the stove top to store newspapers and other combustibles. On this day, somehow the stove had accidentally been turned on. Due to the smoke alarms, the fire was quickly extinguished before firefighters arrived. The crew made sure the fire was completely out and then helped clean up the mess.

On Oct. 29, medic responded to an 11-year-old who had a helmet-to-helmet crash while playing football. When medics arrived, he was no longer experiencing any pain. However, medics transported him to the hospital for evaluation.

On Oct. 30, medics were called to a car vs. animal collision. There was some front-end damage to the car, but the driver was uninjured.

On Oct. 31, medics responded to a woman who tripped over some decorations at a local business. After falling she was unable to get up due to pain in her knee and hip. Medics splinted the leg and transported her to the hospital for a possible fracture.

On Nov. 1, medics were called to a local school for a 6-year-old girl who was having seizures. The girl’s mother said that her daughter has a history of seizures and wanted to take her home to recover. During the examination, the medic found the girl to be uninjured and release her to the care of her mother.

On Nov. 2, medics treated and transported a woman who was attempting to light commercial gas oven when the oven "flashed" and caused burns to chest and face.

On Nov. 2, firefighters responded to a call for an electrical smell. After a thorough investigation, it was determined that odor was coming from a painting sitting on an easel by a window. The paint was emitting the odor as it was heated from the sun through the window.
