On Sept. 30, medics responded to an elderly man who had fallen and was complaining of back pain. After examination, medics treated and transported him to the hospital for a fractured rib.

On Oct. 1, firefighters responded to a complaint of burning in the “no-burn” zone. When the crew arrived, they found the homeowner had a fire going in the wood stove. Indoor burning is allowed so the crew returned in service.

On Oct. 2, medics assisted a man after a golf ball ricocheted off a metal screen and cut the top of his head. They dressed the wound, but the man did not want to go to the hospital. He eventually agreed to let a friend drive him to the hospital for stitches.

On Oct. 3, firefighters responded to a porch fire. The house was prepared to be painted and the lights had been covered with tape and paper. When the lights were turned on they burned the paper and it fell to a drop cloth covering the porch. The homeowner had put the fire out before the crew arrived. Firefighters inspected the scene and removed the light bulbs. 

On Oct. 4, medics responded to an elderly man who had fallen. He was unable to get back on his feet even with the assistance of his wife. After medics confirmed that the man was not injured, they helped him into the house. 

On Oct. 5, medics responded to an elderly woman who tripped on a throw rug and fell. Medics made sure she had no injuries and helped her back up.

On Oct. 6, medics responded to a patient who has a history of seizures. However, on this day he had eight seizures within two hours. Medics treated and transported him to the hospital.
