9/21 Car Fire on Bridge

Smoke and flames erupted from the stereo wiring under the passenger seat as they were traveling across the Narrows Bridge.  He pulled off the road and disconnected the battery which stopped the fire.  Then removed the front passenger seat and smothered the smoking wires and carpet.  It was extinguished when the engine arrived, and the owner arranged for a tow truck.  No injuries resulted.

An unoccupied vehicle caught fire suddenly after the driver went the home.  They smelled smoke and went outside to discover a fully involved engine fire and a neighbor using a garden hose to extinguish it while calling 911.  No occupants were in the vehicle.  Foam solution was used to fully extinguish and the owner will notify her insurance company.

9/23 Vehicle Off Roadway

An SUV was off the road on Fox Island and landed on its top.  PCSO arrived at the scene, but no patients were found in the vehicle.  A search of the area was determined no persons found.  A tow truck was called with PCSO to contact the vehicle’s owner.

9/24 Chest Pain

A 73 year old woman was seen earlier in the day for breathing difficulty developed further symptoms of tightening of her chest.  Medics evaluated and transported her for further care.

9/26 Chimney Fire

A homeowner on Reid Road reported seeing flames from her chimney.  She had doused the fire with water by the time crews arrived, who checked for extension and heat.  The fire was out and the homeowner will have the chimney inspected and cleaned before further use.
