Gig Harbor Man Arrested in La. for Cyber-Solicitation

Police in Houma, La. arrested a 57-year-old Gig Harbor man for attempting to engage in sexual conduct online with a juvenile.

A Gig Harbor man was busted in Houma, La. on Sept. 16 for soliciting a minor via an online chat room, according to KATC.com in Lafayette.

Last Friday, the Houma City Police arrested and charged Michael Honan, 57, with computer-aided solicitation of a minor and indecent behavior with juveniles.

According to DailyComet.com, he exposed himself online to an undercover officer, who was posing as a 14-year-old girl as part of a sting operation being conducted by the cyber crimes unit of the Lafayette Police Department.

Honan is currently held in Houma, which is about 100 miles southeast of Lafayette, on an $80,000 bond.
