Gig Harbor Police Introduce New Officer

After serving in the Federal Way Police Department for more than 5 years, Officer Darius Aldridge will join the Gig Harbor Police Department.

The introduced its newest member, Officer Darius Aldridge, at the .

The Alaska-native moved to Washington to follow his wife’s job. He worked as a probation officer in Alaska and detection officer at the Kitsap County Juvenile Department before joining the Federal Way Police Department in August 2006.

Aldridge has a BA and Master’s degree in Criminal Justice and is a level I and II Defensive Tactics Instructor.

According to Police Chief Mike Davis, Aldridge is excited to be able to work in a community, where he and his wife, Regina, are raising their three daughters ages 1, 4 and 7. He’s also looking forward to cutting about two hours out of his daily commute to work.

Davis said Aldridge comes to Gig Harbor with very high recommendations from the Federal Way Police Department, which commended him as a hardworking, honest individual who is dedicated to his job and community.

“We are very pleased to welcome Darius to the , from what I know of him he will be able to make a seamless transition into our department and quickly became a real asset,” said Davis.
