City to Hold Public Meetings for Major Construction on Pt. Fosdick Drive

The City of Gig Harbor will be widening and reconstructing a section of Point Fosdick Drive west of Olympic to 56th along with 56th Street from Point Fosdick to Olympic Drive this spring.

The will be undertaking a major construction project beginning the spring of 2012 to widen and reconstruct a section of Point Fosdick Drive west of Olympic to 56th along with 56th Street from Point Fosdick to Olympic Drive. 

This year long plus project will disrupt traffic and business access in the area. Motorists can expect traffic delays during the course of construction and are advised to use alternate routes during construction.

Two public meetings are planned to provide citizens and business owners more information about this upcoming project. The public is encouraged to attend;

  • Jan. 25 – Residents and interested citizens are invited to attend this public meeting regarding the construction on Point Fosdick and 56th from 6-8 p.m. in the Council Chambers at the Gig Harbor Civic Center, 3510 Grandview St.
  • Feb. 2 – Business owners and property owners are invited to attend this public meeting regarding the construction on Point Fosdick and 56th from 6-8 p.m. in the Council Chambers at the Gig Harbor Civic Center, 3510 Grandview St.
