The Pierce County Districting Committee will be holding a special meeting to discuss the redistricting map for Pierce County in 2012.
The meeting will start at 7 p.m. at the County-City Building, Pierce County Council Chambers, 930 Tacoma Ave. S, Room 1045 in Tacoma.
According to , created by Districting Master Steven Garrett, Gig Harbor will be split up with University Place.

District 7 will be made up of Gig Harbor, Key Peninsula, Ruston, West and North Tacoma.
University Place will be lumped with Fircrest and Downtown Tacoma in District 4.

Residents will be able to weigh in on the issue during the public comment portion of the meeting.
