It's worth it to go over to Seattle and see the Gingerbread Houses!

Get in the holiday spirit by checking out the Gingerbread Houses at the Sheraton Hotel in Seattle.

I know the traffic can deter anyone (and especially around the holidays) to make a pilgrimage to Seattle from Gig Harbor. But if you pick a year to see the famous Gingerbread Houses at the Sheraton Hotel lobby, this would be the year.

Yesterday my hubby and I went and I have to say that it was one of the best exhibits I've seen. We usually try to go there every Christmas. The Gingerbread houses are not your everyday houses....by any means... they have a theme! The tree in the lobby announces the theme by having it displayed on each bough.

The trains were on the tree! So you know what to expect when you view the houses. Architects are brought into the mix along with students to create wonders year after year.

This year's theme was train stations around the world. Another plus is that the money that is collected in the donation is put toward Juvenile Diabetes Research. Enjoy the pics and if you go over to Seattle, check it out and...Merry Christmas.
