Photo of the Day: Field Trip to the 'Other' Washington

Eleven AP U.S. History students at Gig Harbor High School are currently in Washington, D.C.

Patch received the following message and photo from Sen. Cantwell's press secretary:

I saw your post today about the Gig Harbor students in D.C. I thought you’d be interested in this photo we took of the students after their meeting with Senator Cantwell this afternoon in Washington, D.C.

Eleven AP U.S. History students and their teacher Dr. Doug Perry from are currently on a field trip to Washington, D.C.

Junior Mara Kramer submitted this photo of her and her classmates in front of the U.S. Supreme Court Building to Patch on Wednesday.

So far, the students have visited the White House, Library of Congress and the Smithsonian and toured Capitol Hill. They even got to meet U.S. Senator Maria Cantwell, D-Wash.!
