PSD Superintendent Terry Bouck Picked for Montana School District Gig

Superintendent Terry Bouck told KTVQ.com that he plans to accept the superintendent position at Billings School District. He announced his retirement from the Peninsula School District earlier this year.

Superintendent Terry Bouck has been selected as the new Billings School District superintendent in Montana, according to KTVQ.com.

At the Billings School Board meeting on Thursday, Bouck edged out Dr. Douglas Reisig in a unanimous vote.

Reisig is currently the superintendent of Hellgate Elementary School District in Missoula.

While the Board of Trustees acknowledged Reisig’s familiarity with Montana’s education funding, it favored Bouck’s “innovative” ideas in addition to his 39 years of experience in education.

According to KTVQ, Bouck plans on accepting the job at Montana’s largest school district. He will replace outgoing superintendent, Jack Copps.

Billings Public Schools currently has about 15,715 students while Peninsula School District has about 8,600.

In March, Bouck announced his at the end of the school year.
