Boys Lacrosse: Olson Nets Four Goals to Lead Harbor Fire Past South Kitsap

PORT ORCHARD -- Cody Olson netted four goals and grabbed six ground balls as Harbor Fire pulled into sole possession of the Division II Olympic Conference lead with a 15 - 4 boys high school lacrosse win over South Kitsap, Thursday at Veteran’s Memorial Park in Port Orchard.

The win was the sixth of the season and give Harbor a half-game lead over rival Klahowya with heading into Friday's matchup with the Eagles.

South Kitsap never seriously challenged Gig Harbor, as the Eagles took a 6 - 3 lead in the first before scoring three unanswered goals in both the second and third to take a 12 - 3 lead into the final quarter. In the end Harbor put up another three goals to just one South Kitsap score to seal the win.

Carey Marchand had three goals and Desmond Ary, Leif Drathman and Brett Lyon all had a pair for Harbor. 

Brenon LaPorte, Ryan Gamber and Nick Walker handled the scoring for South Kitsap

Gig Harbor (6-4-0) next faces Port Angeles (6-5-0), Thursday, May 3, 5 p.m. start at Storm King Soccer Field.
