Harbor Fire Girls Lacrosse Takes On Lake Tapps

Come cheer on Gig Harbor's girls lacrosse team as it faces Lake Tapps at 6:30 p.m. at the 

As part of our last home game, the team will be recognizing the 8th graders on the squad during the pre-game celebration.

If you're interested in joining the high school (brand new program in 2012!) or middle school girls team next year, make sure to come out and meet the coaches and the players.

The 7/8 boys team will also be there to cheer on the girls. So if you're curious about the boys lacrosse program next year, it'll also be a great opportunity to meet the boys' coach.

This is the first year for the Harbor Fire to host the girls team. The players range from 6th through 8th grade.

If you're familiar with boys lacrosse, you'll be surprised to see how different girls lacrosse is. The athletes use different sticks and only wear mouth guards and goggles for protection. Nonetheless, it's an exciting sport that's taking off in the Harbor.
