5 Things You Need to Know Today: Jan 14
Start the weekend off right with tons of fun for the whole family!
1. Join local parents and toddlers for story time at the . This event begins at 10:30 a.m. and offers simple books, action rhymes, knee bounces, songs and more. The story time will be about 30 minutes and is a great way for parents to meet other families in the community.
2. Load up the family and head over to the for family fun night. The festivities include Zumbatomic class, a parent social hour and a special showing of "Toy Story 3." The family fun is scheduled to begin at 6:30 p.m. and go until 8 p.m. The event is free to all members. If you're not a member, take advantage of the special $25 joining fee going on this month!
3. Enjoy dinner and live music at LeLe's Restaurant in Uptown Gig Harbor. From 6 p.m. to 9 p.m., jazz pianist Al Gord will be performing while you enjoy a fried wonton appetizer and Pad Thai entree. After dinner, stick around for the happy hour drinks in the lounge from 9 p.m. to 11 p.m.

4. Come cheer for the boys varsity basketball team as the Tides battle Stadium High School, 111 Northeast St. in Tacoma. The game begins at 7 p.m., and everyone is welcome to attend.
5. Meanwhile, get your cheer on at the boys varsity basketball game as the Seahawks take on the Bonney Lake Panthers. The teams tip-off at 7 p.m. at Bonney Lake High School, 10920 199th Avenue Ct. East.
